Ms. Nataša Mijović, Head of the Department for Computer Communications at the Police Support Agency, together with colleagues from the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska and the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, participated in the first international competition “Cyber Games 2025”, organized by the Council of Europe and INTERPOL, in collaboration with the National Cyber Security Agency of Malaysia (NCSA).
The Cyber Games took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from May 20 to May 23, 2025.
The aim of the event was to bring together IT experts to enhance their skills in combating cybercrime, exchange experiences, and encourage collaboration with professionals from around the world.
This was a technical competition that brought together 50 countries and 120 professionals in the field of cybersecurity.
The exercises were based on simulations, where cybersecurity and digital forensics experts participated in team-based challenges to solve real-life scenarios such as ransomware investigations, incident response, forensic imaging, and cryptocurrency tracking.
Participants from Bosnian institutions were part of the teams that won first, third, and fourth place out of a total of 18 teams.
Mr. Alexander Seger, Head of the Cybercrime Division of the Council of Europe and Head of the Cybercrime Programme Office (C-PROC), emphasized that the Cyber Games and practical exercises developed by C-PROC are the most dynamic and effective tools for strengthening practitioners’ skills and enhancing international cooperation in the field of cybercrime and electronic evidence.
