Managing the Central Records of
police authorities is one of the important activities of the Police Support
Agency. Central Records is a unique database containing data on employees in
the police authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was established on the
basis of data from official records and other records which are kept on the
basis of laws and regulations of the police authorities of Bosnia and
Herzegovina. Kept in electronic form, and the information in the records is
entered by police authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The establishment of the
Central Records achieved a unique and efficient way of collecting, sorting,
flow management, availability, timeliness, and an update of data on employees
in the police authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina. A unique and efficient
system of data protection that are centralized in one place is acheived, input
of data is simplyfied, and uniformity of data established in all police
authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in a way that a specific data was
entered into a single database of all police authorities of Bosnia and
Herzegovina. Central Records contains about 150 data about each employee. Central
Records provides possibilities of
various reports such as reports on staffing, ethnic, age and gender, education,
type of derivative staff training etc.
Since the Central Records is in
operation for several years, we considered it necessary to carry out an
in-depth analysis of the work of the Central Records, and to carry out the
changes and upgrades that the police authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina
agree that they need. To this end, on 21.05.2015. The meeting of
representatives of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies, Border
Police, State Investigation and Protection Agency, the Agency for Education and
Professional Training and the Police Support Agency was held, where the
analysis of the work was done and upgrades to Central Records were agreed.
After a detailed analysis of the past work of the Central records, it was
determined that the Central Records significantly facilitates the work of the
employees of the police authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina and contributes
to the overall security level of the country. It was also agreed that in the
future more upgrades were carried out to the Central records that should enable
the Central Records to be used in areas that go beyond the present framework of
its application.
